Hi everyone,
I am struggling a lot on something that I thought would be pretty easy :( Maybe I am missing a point. Thanks in advance for your help.
So here is the situation, I have a node type called "client", in this node I have a field called "status". It is a taxonomy field. With the help of Message module, I created a log of the changes of the field status. Each time the field is updated, a new message is created. The Message has two field: an entity reference point to the client node and a status field. It returns me something like this: User1 has updated Client 2 to Prospect.
My problems starts when I want to put that in a views and try to get statistics out of it. It want to see, for any given date, the number of Client, Prospect and Old Client that I have. The problem is that for any client, I have multiple message (for example, he was created has a prospect, converted to client a few months later and ended as an Old client).
Here is an example:
The Messages:
12/03/2013: Client 1 updated to "Prospect"
14/03/2013: Client 2 updated to "Client"
15/04/2013: Client 1 updated to "Client"
17/05/2013: Client 2 updated to "Old client"
11/06/2013: Client 1 updated to "Prospect"
So now we are in Views:
I want an exposed filter on the date so we can set the "image" at a certain point and see what are the stats at this time:
- The 20/04/2013: Number of client: 2, Number of Old client: 0, Number of Prospect: 0
- The 20/05/2013: Number of client: 1, Number of Old client: 1, Number of Prospect: 0
I won't say what I have in my view because none of what I have found was worth talking. I think I am missing something very important here.
I have tried using Views field view, Views distinct to help me here but I couldn't manage to do anything interesting with this.
Thanks a lot for your help, I tried my best to be clear but I would love to give you more info if needed.
Regards,
Edouard
