I was wondering if it is possible to output the standard pager into the views header via php? That is, so it will appear both in the top and bottom of my views content. I need to do some very specific theming on my page in regards to the pager.....

Yes, create your own views-view.tpl.php and print the pager variable in the right place.

ah I see. ok, I was just hoping it could be done directly into the header via a global text area and some php, but considering I haven't been able to make it work I figured that it wasn't that simple anyway.....
