Exposed Filters not applying to attachment for autocomplete

Hey just reporting an issue I ran into. I have a workaround for it so not to important but I figured I'd report it anyways.

I have a view with an attachment and I want the exposed filter to apply to the attachment and page it's attached to. I enable the "Inherit the exposed Filters" and add the exposed filter to all displays. The filter is a taxonomy term on the nodes.

If I set the exposed filter to autocomplete the attachment is always empty, however if I use a select list it works as expected.
