After days of searching I am hoping someone could please help me tame the beast that is known as contextual filters. :) Sometimes with Drupal I feel like i'm in another country and cannot speak the language. :)

I have a bunch of nodes that all have a specific (sometimes multiple) taxonomy term(s) assigned to them (all from the same vocab), but for my url path I do not include those:

For example:

Vocab named videos

Node 1 - Has terms:

►food
►►vegetable
►►►carrot
assigned to it, but the url is:

mysite.com/videos/carrot-juice-recipe <-- Created by path auto.

I created a view that has a contextual filter where I want to display only the nodes that have the carrot term. And it that works perfectly when previewed on the views page, but when loading up the actual page I get a listing of ALL the nodes under the "food" term. Which says to me that it is not finding any of the carrot nodes and only displaying everything by default.

These are my main settings:

Path: /videos

Contextual Filters: --> Content: Has Taxonomy term ID

Filter: --> Content: Published

It also works perfectly when going to site.com/carrot, but I have path auto creating "/videos/title-of-node" so that all of my nodes will be under the videos "directory".

I almost have the same issue as #1274510, but no answer was given there. I was hoping maybe in the last couple of years something has come up that has made it easier?

I really appreciate it!
