& sign gets trimmed all the time

Hello,

The text in my views field are trimmed correctly except when there's a "&" sign in the field. "&" sign and everything that comes after it always get removed no matter how I change the settings in views. Right now I have my views set to:

Formatter: Plain text
Trim this field to a maximum length: 255
Strip HTML tags checked (Preserve certain tags: <div>)

Does anyone know what I should add/remove/change so that everything gets trimmed correctly in my views?
