Field labels hidden when labels grouped in one collum

This is in regards to a view with a table format.
I have four fields, "age", "gender", "location", and "status".
Gender, location, and status are grouped into the column for age, and the label for age is changed to "Stats". After doing this, the labels for gender, location, and status no longer show up in the table. Is there a work-around?
I tried rewriting the results of the fields to include a label. For example, the rewrite for location is "Location: [field-location]". This only works if there is only one result. If there is more than one result, it looks like this.. Location: Missouri, Location: Texas
