HI I recently tried to use the lastest dev of views, (august 19) but no matter what settings I bend and stretch I cannot get the Empty Text to display properly. (It never displays - new view - old view - )
I've gone back to the stable 6.3 release of views for the time being but I thought you might like to know.
I tried to add this report to another issue because I can see that there is a lot of reported issues about empty text problems and I hate to add a duplicate but this didn't seem to quiet fit with the other issues.
Regards to you hard working peoples on a great Module
P.S going back to the stable version brought all the view empty text values onto the site.

In this file I have modified if condition from !$empty to $empty.
function render($empty = FALSE) {
$format = isset($this->options['format']) ? $this->options['format'] : FILTER_FORMAT_DEFAULT;
if ($empty || !empty($this->options['empty'])) {
return $this->render_textarea($this->options['content'], $format);
}
return '';
}
Will be helpful for others who come across the same.
