I'm using views to display content I get from a feed
I added a sort criteria: Content: Post date.
Is the content: Post date the date that the content is saved in the drupal DB or the publishing date of the feed item??

I would like the feed items to sort on there publishing date and time this isn't working correctly with Content: Post Date.
I get a mixup of feed items (nodes), not a chronological list.

how do I sort correctly on Publishing date?

I believe it is the date of first save.

I've noticed my sort criteria is messing up some of my Views. I'm not sure when this started happening, but I've had to disable sort criteria at present. Try disabling as many other View filters and criteria as you can to try to isolate exactly what might be causing the problem. Sometimes when you have a complex view, all those relationships can interfere with each other.
