Since drupal's built-in search module is terrible, I've been scouring the net for instructions on how to make a search function that searches only node titles.

Everything I've read seems to point to the Views module, where I can create an "Exposed Filter" and then have the Search module index it.

Is this accurate? How does one create an "exposed filter"? I've been googling for days and unable to figure this out. Please help!
