Hi,

I want to use Views3, VBO and rules to maintain a set of nodes. Under normal operations the nodes are published and are accessible under "per node" access control.

I want to allow users to subscribe to the content. Before the subscription the nodes are unpublished and they are owned by the user. I want to set the nodes to published. Hereto I want to first select them with a View and then caary out the actions on the nodes in the View.

The problem is that the nodes do not appear in the View. How can I override the per node access rights within rules or the view?

The user is'nt actually going to view the nodes. I only want to let views and rules access the nodes. Can I give admin like permissions to rules/views to deal with actions that have been triggered by a user that doesn't have these rights?

If you go under advanced -> query settings you can "disable sql rewrite". If you did this every node will be displayed.
You should really know what you do here, but i guess that's what you do :)

Great ! Everything now works as I had in mind.

I understand that this setting removes access limitations ONLY for this View.

Now I have to make sure that normal users cannot access the View by typing a URL. Of course I'm going to look up how to achieve this. But as you are there now: Do you have a suggestion ?

Under views you also have access settings available.
