I just upgraded the dev version of Views to 7.x-3.0rc3 in one of the projects I'm working on. I regret that I did so, because afterwards I am not longer able to modify a certain view. Error message: No valid values found on filter: Content: Type.

The error is similar to this one reported in the dev version:

http://drupal.org/node/1343482

I tried the workaround mentioned in that post, and I can see there is a wrong filter in the master display. But whenever I try to remove the bad filter I get the original error message again, so it's a kind of Catch-22 situation.

I had the same issue today, and

go to admin/structure/views/settings and check "Always show the master display", after that go to the master display of the "problematic" views and see if there is a unwanted "unknown" filter, if there is remove it."

was my fix.

As mentioned in the post that fix did not work for me. What worked, though, was this:

- Export view to a module with Features.
- Remove all filter definitions in feature module on filesystem.
- Place updated feature module in modules directory.
- In Features UI, disable and re-enable the feature.
- Empty all caches.
- Re-apply correct filters in view.

Now I can modify my views again!

Thanks, David. It worked for me.

For me it was an exposed, interactive select list filter with both "Required" checked and no default value selected. This worked fine on RC2. I'm not sure if I would consider this a bug but it would be nice (in my case) to have a check box to return no results until the user makes a selection and submits.
