Hi all,

thanks for Your module and Your time. really appreciate it.

long story short:
I have a view with exposed filter on event dates (from - to) - Date module
i have correct results, but i want to show rows duplicated, for ex if an event starts 01.01.2010 and ends 03.01.2010 and exposed filters are set to 01.01.2010 - 05.02.2010 than i want to show the same result 3 times - like:

01.01.2010 - row
02.01.2010 - the same row
03.01.2010 - the same row

I'm going through Views and drupal api tutorials, but i can't find a solution. I posted here: http://drupal.org/node/1078346 but no response. i think that it is really tricky to do that!
i tried to learn calendar module way.. but no luck (i don't know how to get view in preprocess function)
i have found similar issues, but not exactly what i want. tried to do this with alpha pager but still - problem is that i don't have dates when event occurs (only from and to date..)

I don't want You to write the entire code for me, i only need a clue if there is a chance to make it with Views? i really like Yours exposed filters and everything would be perfect except that i want to print the same row repeatendly on every day the event occurs, not only once.

Please help me if You can,
Naiya

I managed to do this on DB.

Is there a way (some of preprocess, pre_render hooks maybe) to make a query from my view a subquery? such like:

SELECT c1,c2 FROM ( select_query_from_my_view ) AS n CROSS JOIN t2 WHERE...

i'm analyzing views hooks quite long time noq but didn't find anything like this. is it possible? how can i obtain this?

Please help me if You can,
Naiya

I don't think you can generate sub-queries like that, but I'm suggesting you take a look at views_field_view, which would allow you to use a view in a view. With proper use of an argument, I think that could work for you. Just remember that you need to cache a lot :)

Leaving open for a while to see if anyone has suggestions.

Hi Naiya,

I'm sitting with the same problem as what you had. Currently if I have an event that stretches over two or more days, the event only shows up on the first day and although the mini calendar shows there are events on day two and three, when you go to day two or three, there's nothing there. It just shows up on day one.

How did you overcome this problem? I have been searching a lot to try and resolve this. please note that I'm not very good at all with PHP....

Thanks in advance,
Regards,

Mseraphim

Hi mseraphim,

We have been searching a lot and finally we have done our own module with specific layout. with our own query and so on. So I'm very sorry, but we haven't resolve the issue as it should be done.
Problem is much simplier when You have limited number of days, eg one week - than You can look at calendar.module.

good luck!
Naiya

Unfortunately Views doesn't really support repeating things that are not in the database. Event repeat is a hard problem, and it's going to be up to some pretty specialized code to do that. I don't know how to even tell you how to do it, except that Views really can't, without someone sitting down and figuring out how.

And no, Views has no support at all for CROSS JOIN.

I create a module that allows to cross join entities. May be this help to solve the problem.
