Hullo there.
I thought I would be able to paste the SQL query created by a view into say HeidiSQL and the query would be run as it is inside Drupal, producing a table. But it doesn't seem to quite work like that - I get some records returned but not all as expected and as far as I can tell not all data.
Can someone explain why this is please and what I need to do to alter the views query to work outside of Drupal (but obviously the query is being run on the Drupal database).

dawehnerIf you don't get all results as respected the problem could be node access.
The node access system changes the query after views generated the query.
You can use for example the devel module to get the real query.
