Use pager: Mini pager display issue

Hello, first thank you for the wonderful module.

I am having an issue using the "Use pager: Mini pager and Full pager" features. When I have it set to show multiple pages the pager at the bottom only displays if I have the following permission enabled.

"Bypass content access control
View, edit and delete all content regardless of permission restrictions. Warning: Give to trusted roles only; this permission has security implications."

Naturally this is not a permission you want enabled for everyone who visits your site. The first so many items are displayed properly however unless that permission is enable the user is unable to view the pager option.

Please let me know if I am missing something or if this is a known issue.
