I am working with D7 RC4 and Views 7.x-3.x-dev from today.

I created a node-based view where node type = forum topic and then I attempted to further filter the view by saying that the node's Post date value must be greater than or equal to "-23 hours", or in other words, that the node was posted "today".

Each time I try to save this setting, I get the error message:
"An illegal choice has been detected. Please contact the site administrator."

I get the same error message if I use "greater than" and if, just for kicks, I try "less than" (yesterday).

If I change the filter to be "Node: Post date between -24 hours and -1 minutes" then things work as expected.

Yeah, that's a bug in Drupal core, a fix got committed yesterday (#971120: Radio button values get run through check_plain() twice).
We still need a patch on our end as well.

Update to the latest D7 -dev, then wait for #667950: Start using javascript states, deprecate dependent.js.

Has this issue been resolved? I'm running D7.0 with the Views 7.x-3.0-alpha1 and Ctools 7.x-1.0-alpha2. When searching for comments with Comment: Post date > -7 days the view returns empty. If I hard code the date to 1 week ago "2011-01-30" the view works.

Yes, it was. Update to Views 7.x-3.x-dev, and if the problem persists, open a new issue.

I am running 7.x-3.x-dev and this appears to still be broken. Fixed dates work fine, but relative dates like -1 day or -20 hours do not.

Because I read this and missed any link the issue this is a duplicate of: #1051308: Date handler offsets broken
