Using Labelify for Exposed Filters

This isn't completely a Views question, but I wondered if anyone has been able to use labelify on their input exposed filters? I have an advanced search page for my media library that I'm building. The script works as it should, meaning it takes the label of my input and rewrites it as the content of the input field.

The issue arises when I submit the filter. Labelify normally removes the label from the input on form submission...but there's something about how the exposed filters are setup makes it not work properly. Not sure why.

So what ends up happening is if someone submits the Advanced Search filters and they don't make any changes to the input field, the form filters records by the label "title" instead of leaving it blank.
