I'm using the Argument Type 'Taxonomy: Term Name' to provide a view that shows items which have been assigned a certain taxonomy term. The trouble is that there can be terms with the same name in multiple vocabularies. Where could I limit the query so it only looks up the term id for the term name in a particular vocabulary?

merlinofchaos commentedAt this point you cannot, though it makes sense that this be possible. Marking this as a feature request.

jillelaine commentedyes, i need the same feature. it would be great if child terms showed the 'parent' term: perhaps with a forward slash between them, such as parent/child?
since taxonomy module allows many levels (hierarchies) of terms (parent/child, grandparent/parent/child, etc), perhaps an interface where the view creator could choose the number of levels of parent/child term relationships to display?
views is a wonderful, useful module, btw. thank you.

I don't think what you're asking is the same thing at all, since hickory's question doesn't really have to do with display, but about how finding the term from an argument works.

catchstill valid I think.

merlinofchaos commentedYou should be able to do this now with the argument validation system.
