Erm.... "storys" should be "stories." A minor thing, perhaps, but rather embarrassing.

impossible. There is no way to make the code give the plural of a node type, other than by adding a s at the end. This is a problem that lies deep in Drupal and is addresed already.

Probably better to have "1 stories" than "3 storys" I should think. No real need for any conditional logic.
