There's a dependency on vud. Shouldn't it be vote_up_down?

The dependency is correct if the module requires branch 6.x-2 of the module; in branch 6.x-2 the module name is vud.module, and the dependencies must report the name of the module without extension.

As the required version is not stated in the project page, the dependency should be corrected, or the project page should report the module needs version 6.x-2 to work.

Does this module really need the 2.x version? It doesn't have a stable release, and 1.x has releases chronologically after it.

Installation
------------
In order to install this module, you have to install version 6.x-2.x-dev of the vote
up/down module, and enable the node and comment modules within that module.
