This code is by Ashok Modi (BTMash), written for the Zimmer Twins web site (http://zimmertwins.ca)

It is for Userpoints API 6.x only, and once we created a DRUPAL-6--1 branch for userpoints_contrib, this can be committed.

Anyone is welcome to backport it to Drupal 5.x, and for 5.x-3.x-dev version of Userpoints.

I just stumbled on your post here, and I happen to know there's recently been a 6.x-1.x-dev release of userpoints_contrib. Perhaps this is valid for inclusion in it?
