I have been porting this module to D7. I could not understand the purpose of this:
Custom record path:
under Advanced options.
There is a checking in the function user_visits_d7_exit(), most probably it is related to this admin setting. I couldn't figure out how this is working either.

The main functionality is completed.

7.x-1.0 has been released few months back. Please check it for the corroesponding code.
