I would like to apply User Karma to Vote up/down or other voting modules like five star. How can I integrate the user karma with them?

Hi,

There is no "integration" needed... all you have to do, is configure the sub-plugins of user_karma accordingly so that they assign karma according to the vote types and content types that gets the votes from your voting forms!

Hi,

user_karma *itself* doesn't have those settings. It's in its sub-modules that customisation actually begins.

HOWEVER! I noticed that none of user_karma's submodules allow to specify the voting tags to consider (?!?). Is this a huge problem for any type of integration? I am torn about this one.

But, the issue needs to be reopened...

[EDIT] My goodness, the tags really are missing... But adding them wouldn't be too hard. WHat are the most common tags for nodes and for comments? I need to fix this soon because I feel the module is not finished.

Thx for the concern, but i just found that using points as the voting API value type can already use the Vote Up Down score ....BTW the most common tag is "vote"

OK...!
Does that mean that you actually managed to use vote_up_down with user_karma...?

ALSO, do you think I should make user_karma configurable, so that you can narrow down which *tags* you get karma for?
(I mean, would it actually make sense...?)

Hi,

The lack of a filter for the "tag" field doesn't create any trouble, and doesn't create any limitation?
Can you imagine a case where it would?
