I installed this module yesterday, and its been of great help identifying what modules that I need to update.
The one issue most of us have found with updates to modules, is they dont always work for everyone.
Would it be an advantage for the "Recomended Version" to have a count of "Bug Reports" that exist against that version of the module, with a link which opens to those bug reports in a new window.
Almost always i find that if there is a new revision, that is the first thing I do, just to see if the bugs may affect my instalation, and if so potentially delay the update

dwwInteresting, but we don't have that data to display, and there's no way currently to fetch it from drupal.org via XML-RPC or anything. Plus, the UI isn't going to change in D6 core. The best you could hope for is to get something like this into D7 core, but you still have the problem of not having data for it. So, if you're really into it, you can move this to the core issue queue and mark it 'active' again, but it's probably never going to happen. The basic idea is that people should still be visiting drupal.org to look at stuff before they blindly upgrade... *shrug*
