This is for Ubercart sales. Some products, like event tickets, have dates beyond which we do not wish to sell them. This tool allows sales to be automatically disabled on a pre-set date.
On the pre-set date, the product page will have attributes, quantity, and "Add to Cart" button removed and replaced with a note that the product has expired. The cart and checkout are also validated so that stale entries do not sneak through.
Privileged users may bypass the expiration and still purchase the item. This may be useful, for example, for event planners who want to manage the last few tickets after general sales are completed.
This light module is unobtrusive and is designed to play nicely (but does not depend on) the Out Of Stock Notifications module.
