Tweetbutton module already exist http://drupal.org/project/tweetbutton , there is no point creating a duplicate. Consider merging your efforts.

jsfwd commentedThe functionality of the two modules is different. In that module there aren't any configuration settings and it doesn't include all the tweet button options.
This module allows you to configure your style & recommend settings like on http://twitter.com/goodies/tweetbutton, and gives you Drupal specific customizations for nodes, teasers and node types.

chia commentedMost of these features are in D7 and they will be roll backed to D6 version.

bradweikel commented+1 for merging. Two modules for the same, minor Twitter "goodie" will confuse users & administrators and is a needless duplication of effort. Nip this at the bud now before both modules build a user base.

jsfwd commentedAha ok, I was looking to implement on D6 - hadn't looked at the D7 version. I'm not sure what's the best approach for merging / moving etc... a project. I'll contact @timmillwood.

dave reidRule of thumb: if a module is missing a feature, first request it in the existing module. If that person says "hey that's a great idea, let's work on it" or "hey I already have it implemented in version x and I just need to backport it, want to help?" then there isn't a need to duplicate projects. We always want to cooperate and communicate with each other rather that always be doing our own independent things.

pcambra+1 for merging these modules, I don't see any sense in having two sepparate modules doing basically the same :S
