I have a problem. When I using modules such as Page Title, that adding global tokens (tokens uses menu items for get page title) and want to get tokens in hook_menu functions, menu building system brokes, because in hook_menu state menu is empty. For good working I need to call only taxonomy tokens (without global tokens) but can't do it with token api.
Maybe useful to add an option for function token_get_values() to disable global tokens call?

If you're having problems using tokens with globals, something else must be going wrong here. Your problem isn't exactly clear. Could you be more specific?
