Not sure if this is TinyTinyMCE, my theme (Barlow), or Drupal ... but the blog teasers on our home page are very odd. Some of them stop in the middle of a word (like after the "t" in "to"); others after the first period encountered even when that's just initials (like U.S.A.). Some cut off after just a few words and some function just fine. All have been created with the same teaser settings.
I have not incorporated the user break functionality from Drupal and no one is trying to specify break points when posting.

Steve Lockwood commentedIf you don't specify where the break points are then Drupal will decide for you. If you want to control it you need to specify by either implementing the teaser break functionality or by coming out of rich text mode and entering the <!--break--> command.
You can also control the default size of teasers in admin/content/node-settings. Maybe a more generous teaser length would help.
I will close this issue as I don't think it's to do with this module. But please reopen it if you think this is wrong.

m.e. commentedI don't know if it's this module, either, but thought it might be possible some odd code was being generated. I'll probably post this on the forums as well.
Drupal is making the decision to cut off the teasers far earlier than the character limit I have specified -- this is why it's so odd that it would cut off in the middle of the word (i.e., it wasn't out of characters yet and didn't need to). In most instances it is simply stopping at the first period, often within just a few words.

Steve Lockwood commentedIt might be worth looking at the HTML inside the rich text editor - is there any invisible markup which Drupal would see as a break?
For instance:
- <span>some</span><span>thing</span>
would just appear in the editor as
- something
but Drupal might see it as two words, which could be broken
This sort of thing could conceivably occur if you are pasting rich text out of MS Word.

m.e. commentedI did find a few things like that, but not all. I'll look deeper. This is for an organization whose staff is doing the content. They did use Word for some things till I caught wind of it, but when I explained why this was a bad idea they stopped. I'll need to investigate further - appreciate your time. This can probably be closed.
