Great little module!
The settings form appears to allow for a colour change.
While I can see that selecting a simple colour such as all red (#ff0000) confirms that the colour selection setting does actually kick in, when choosing a real site-colour such as...

The end result is a little disappointing because the colour does not really appear show, the bar seems to vary between a shade of BLUE and a shade of PURPLE…

IT might be much more noticeable and so more effective, if we could specify the 'START' and 'END' colours specifically.
Best just to adjust override the CSS or could there be a further settings that control: the relative significance of the chosen colour over the shading, shadowing, and transparency?
Perhaps providing a default shadow without an accompanying option to disable is a bit optioned, for example, on our educational site we deliberate go for the '2D' look and feel with everything.
Finally, should (we think so) be an option to control the 'striped' movement, sometimes just a simple, horizontally-growing bar is good enough to show progress?
Basically, the above comments all point to a request for better UI-drive control of the presentation rather than having to override the CSS.
Thanks
