Hi,
Great to find this module! But my hunch is that the user interface may be too complicated for the end-users. So why not have 1 fixed semi-transparent theme like Garland and allow users to pick the background, link color, sidebar color etc via the tyrel that we can see in the Color.module? What I mean is exactly the way that www.twitter.com allows its users to pick their own colours.
I have opened the same request with the Blog Theme module http://drupal.org/node/418234 and the maintainer welcomed such approach, but doesn't know how to make the access to per-user colour schemes in a manageable way. But I think you have managed to get that right quite beautifully.
So, I was thinking, why not help us out with that particular issue? or maybe combine the efforts.
Many of the features that you are planning for the roadmap are already in place with the Blog Theme module http://drupal.org/project/blogtheme
What do you think?

aacraig commentedThanks for pointing out the Blog Theme module. I've joined the discussion there and we'll see how things develop.
Check back on this thread for more info.

aacraig commentedI've added this functionality in 6.x-1.6.
Having written to the Blog Theme maintainer and received no response, I've implemented this on my own.
