Also known as the save the nodes module. Lead documenter Steven Peck (and presumably a couple hundred others with delete nodes permissions) has agreed to not remove old documentation nodes if a properly clear warning that pages for unsupported Drupal versions are likewise deprecated and not maintained. (Background, we came to terms in person at the last days of DrupalCon.)
