Are there plans to port this module to drupal 7?

Or is this module not maintained any more and will die with D5?

the fields API has changed in Drupal 7, there are probably heaps better ways to create content fields for taxonomy.
I haven't had the time to do anything for the module for ages, good chance it will be never continued, sorry.

I even think D7 supports it out of the box
