I attempted to download the TAP-CMS Distro and install it. I got an error at the start of the install process to say that modules 'tap' and 'tap_features' are AWOL. On inspection of the package, the subdirectory tap_cms-7.x-2.x-dev-core/profiles/tap_cms/modules/tap is present, but entirely empty. You know that ain't gonna work out well.

it looks like drupal.org doesnt support git submodules which is how it was initially setup. if you just need the tap modules you can download them from here https://github.com/IMAmuseum/tap-cms or do a git pull on this repo, as I just added the module in.
