I got the syntax highlighter working on my site.

When I add this line of code to my theme .js file, it breaks the syntax highlighter module:

$(".views-field-field-overview-project-image-fid").append("<a><div>View project images</div></a>").find("a:last").attr("href", setURL).find(
		"div:last").addClass("hover_btn");

I believe it is the .attr("href", setURL) part that is causing the problem.

I was able to fix the problem by changing my Jquery code to the following:

$(".views-field-field-overview-project-image-fid").append('<a class="prj_link"><div class="hover_btn">View project images</div></a>');
	$(".prj_link").attr("href", setURL);
