Thumbnail Images are not showing on the playlist in IE. IE is reporting JS errors during the page load:

It looks like the JS errors are causing line 55 in swftools_flowplayer3.playlist.js to return an empty 'src=""' in IE

el = el.replace('class="swftoolsImage" src=""', 'src="' + clip.swftoolsImage + '"');

If you hit it in FF or chrome it works fine, dies in IE.

I have dug through the swftools_flowplayer3.playlist.js and swftools-flowplayer3-playlist.tpl.php but can't seem to find out what is dying. (my JS is not very strong).

Looks like you're right. I ran into the same problem. Its hard to tell with Firebug Lite, but my best guess is that IE either mucks around with the element template or has an issue with the search portion of the replace. I managed to get this working by just splitting the search and replace into two lines so

el = el.replace('class="swftoolsImage" src=""', 'src="' + clip.swftoolsImage + '"');

becomes

        el = el.replace('src=""', 'src="' + clip.swftoolsImage + '"');
        el = el.replace('class="swftoolsImage"', '');
