Following are my enhancements / wish list related to the reporting for the support module: Others are welcome to add more ideas into this list..

1 - Detailed Permission for accessing the report/chart should be available. Following are some examples:

1.1 - Can access Client Reports/Charts (requires the user to have 'access client tickets' permission. Some one having access to all clients will be someone having access to the Global Reports/Charts)
1.2 - Can access own Reports/Charts (requires the user to have 'access client tickets' permission)
1.3 - Can access other user Reports/Charts (requires the user to have 'access client tickets' permission)

2 - There should be one user interface (page) for Report/Chart module/function. The page should have a filtering control panel on the top. Based on the selection within this panel, the reports/charts are created below the filtering control panel. Following is the selection criteria:

2.1 - Client Checklist - (displays only those clients to which the user has access permission)
2.2 - Request Creator User Checklist - (displays the user names of the request creators of the tickets for the client for which the user can access reports. Additionally, there is an entry for all client1 users, client 2 users, and so on. Also an entry for all request creators of all clients to which the user has access )
2.3 - Request Assigned User - (displays a list of user name of the users that are assigned requests related to the client for which the user can access reports. Additionally, there is an entry for all Request Assigned User for client1, Request Assigned users for client 2, and so on. Also an entry for all request assigned users for of all clients to which the user has access )
2.4 - State - selection of states
2.5 - Priority - selection of priority
2.4 - From Date and To Date

3 - Based on the above criteria, when the user click Display Report, following are the three items that will be displayed:

3.1 - A Pie Chart
3.2 - A Bar Chart
3.3 - A table of requests, showing the request ID, request subject, request creator, requester assigned, state, priority.

The user can then copy the charts and paste it in his/her report. Also, perhaps it is possible to have a download in pdf link.

4 - The user has the option of saving the selection criteria, so that once the user invests time on what reporting he/she requires, it can be saved for future reporting purposes.

The above is just the first proposal for improvements related to the reporting of support module. Please suggest improvements from your side as well. Thanks..
