Are there any plans to implement the functionality provided by the old Support Fields module? According to that module's maintainer, this functionality was to be included in the D7 release of STS (see http://drupal.org/node/1549418#comment-6448404).

The Drupal 8 version of Support is fully built with core Fields (and Views) -- we hope to have a usable beta release later this fall. You can track progress here.
