Ok, I've read just about as many questions about this as I can handle and I still am getting no love from it. I've tried the menu attribute module, I've tried some javascript but I'm not sure what the issue is.
The module works great and I know it's something really simple that I must be missing.
So... I have a nav-bar style drop down on my primary menu (as a superfish block).
When I roll over a parent that has children it drops down the children. All good so far.
When I click on a child the page opens up > the parent item is displayed as active (which is what I want) however the child menu does not stay visible.
However once I hover back over the parent item it displays and stays displayed (which is what I need to happen after the click not to have to roll over again), even if I then roll over another parent item with children it still returns to the active menu.
So my question is, how can I get that child menu to stay active after the click instead of it always coming back as hidden.
Many thanks to anyone who can shed any light.

tc43 commentedOk small update. Active parent disappears if the sf-Touchscreen plugin is turned off.
Thanks

tc43 commentedOk so it's the hoverintent plugin. Always so simple.

mehrpadin commentedHey Tim,
So, does hoverIntent solved it? if not, email me the URL; so far my best guess is that your child menus, for whatever reason, are not getting the "active-trail" class hence the problem.

tc43 commentedYeah I think it was a case of the Hoverintent mixed with Fusion. The issue I was seeing with classes being applied was whenever I added the pathclass=active-trail in the settings, it was disappearing from the code??? If I changed the pathclass to anything else active-trail appeared again.
I tried using context to apply the class but for some reason or other it doesn't play nice with the block structure. You click on your first parent and it would then stay active until a 'cache clear'.
It was a case of adding the hoverintent fix in the end mixed with the removal of code from superfish.js as mentioned in the above url. Apparently, superfish has removed the active-trail.
Thanks for the reply.

asb commentedUsually we don't want to hack neither a base theme nor Drupal core. Does #4 men that 'Fusion' is - without hacking Fusion core - incompatible with the 'Superfish' module?

csc4 commentedI had trouble with Fusion themes too and found dropdown menu is hidden under website graphics | drupal.org very helpful
