I cannot get the sub-menu indicator to appear, and it's because sf-sub-indicator class is not being applied to any menu item. Auto-arrows is set to yes, but when I inspect the source code, the class is nowhere to be seen. The menu animations do not work either, but that's not a big problem for me b/c I was not planning on leaving them on, but I would certainly like to test them out.

The theme I'm using is based on Minelli.

With the Menu Attributes Module, I applied the sf-sub-indicator class to a menu item, and the arrow indicating a child menu showed up, but completely screwed up the display of the top level link and dropdown menu.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hey John,

Looks like you've some sort of Javascript errors that prevents SF from functioning properly; do you use Firebug or any similar DOM insp. able to log JS errors?

Plus, you do not need such modules for this.

Had this issue with version 7.x-1.8-alpha5. I replaced jquery.hoverIntent.minified.js in the modules js directory with the latest version (r6) and now get arrows again.

The arrows disappeared for me when I upgraded from 1.6 to 1.8. Bookmarking this issue.

Arrows are also missing for me in 7.x-1.8.

On upgrade from 1.6 to 1.8 the arrow icons disappeared for me as well. How can we get the span class for the sf-sub-indicator to display in version 1.8?

The fix for this is to configure your Superfish 1 (Superfish) block via the blocks admin. You'll see 2 checkboxes for Drop Shadows and Auto Arrows. Make sure to check the Auto Arrows checkbox. In the previous 1.6 version this was a drop down select widget on the blocks config screen. In 1.8 it's now a checkbox. I think that update.php causes this to default to unchecked when you upgrade.

Once you check it, save your block and then the arrows should appear.

There is an issue with the relative paths in the superfish library CSS.

.sf-menu.sf-style-white .sf-sub-indicator {
  background-image: url('../../images/arrows-777777.png');
}
.sf-menu.sf-style-white.rtl .sf-sub-indicator {
  background-image: url('../../images/arrows-777777-rtl.png');
}

should read:

.sf-menu.sf-style-white .sf-sub-indicator {
  background-image: url('../images/arrows-777777.png');
}
.sf-menu.sf-style-white.rtl .sf-sub-indicator {
  background-image: url('../images/arrows-777777-rtl.png');
}

and this applies to most of the css files.

paths are off in:

style/white.css
style/light-blue.css
style/spring.css

Hey Andrew,

Download the new package (v1.1) I updated it a week ago.

:)

@Mehrpadin - please could you update the project page to reflect this. One of the library links still links to v1. Thanks.

@Mehrpadin. One more thing: Is there a project page for the superfish library where we can track version changes etc?

Oh! you're right, corrected! thank you!

I had the same problem (no icon to indicate sub-menu) going from 1.6 to 1.8. I went into blocks, opened my superfish menu blocks, verified that auto-arrows was ticked, and then saved the block. It was the new save that triggered my arrows - even tho I hadn't made changes, I saved. Worked for me.
