There have been a few requests for this so I am re-opening the issue :) (see: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/45716179/one-block-to-subscribe-to-a...)

If I am to use a subscriptions module to run a blog, I need a box on the home page of the blog that lets users "Subscribe to Blog". Currently, AFAIK, they have to go to the actual node/content page, for the "Subscriptions block" to show up.

Is there any elegant method/workaround to achieve the functionality I described above? I.E. place a generic subscription block on a view or panel page, for a specific content type (one, or many)?

If there's no built in solution, could someone propose a work around? Is https://www.drupal.org/project/subscriptions_rules the way to go?
