Dear Subscriptions Maintainers,

Currently, there are 2 different preferences which are on updates and on comments which means that user will receive notification whenever the subscribed items (e.g. Article) receive any updates/comments. Is it possible to unchecked on comments for the user whom has subscribed to content type items (e.g. Article) which means that comments written on any subscribed content will not be notified. However, at the same time I would like to checked on comments for Pages/Threads so that if the subscribed pages/threads receive any comments, the subscriber will be notified. In short, is it possible to give the on comment preference based on different subscription (e.g. Pages/Threads, Content types and Taxonomy). Thank you in advance sir.

I see your use case, but no, this is not possible.

We have only one kind of (global and user) preferences/defaults. The complexity of the Subscriptions administration interface is near the limit, and this would be a hefty addition that is not of general interest.

You have two options:
1. You show the On Updates and On Comments columns to your users and tell them how to use them, or
2. You write a custom module to extend Subscriptions for your site.
