Un utilisateur est averti par un email à chaque fois que quelqu'un à posté un nouveau commentaire sur une discussion du forum.

C'est bien, mais si 20 personnes répondent sur cette discussion, l'utilisateur recevra 20 messages.

Ne pourrais-t-on pas n'envoyer qu'un seul message jusqu'a ce que l'utilisateur se reconnecte sur le topic ?

There's at least one old issue for that: #210548: Do not send any more notifications until the user has read the post. I've even done some work on it back then, but there was not sufficient interest for that feature.
