Love the module, but I cant get this to work.
A user creates a node (example: Forum Topic), someone comments to that node. The original node poster does not receive a notification that his node has a new topic.
I have searched and tried a bunch of settings to little or no effect. If I enable default content type then every node published is sent to all of my users. I assume this is to provide a "what's new" type of subscription.
Please Help
Mike

salvisFor that you need to turn on Auto-Subscribe. That will automatically create a Page/Thread subscription for the user.
MGParisi commentedI have all auto subscriptions turned on except for "Auto-subscribe to updated content". I turned this off because I use community tagging and I also modify tags after users submit content. This prevents them from receiving an email every time I update their tags. Does this also prevent people from receiving emails of comments? If so, shouldn't this be two different options?
salvisAnd? Do the expected subscriptions get created?
No
Comment #4
MGParisi commentedAll of a sudden my wife starts getting notifications of every content update on the site. I fear this is happening to allot of people, and not sure why. I also have seen some comments get ignored. Its very irratic, and I don't think I could reproduce it.

salvisNothing in Subscriptions happens "all of a sudden" or in an "irratic" way.
I would recommend disabling and uninstalling all of Subscriptions and restart with a clean slate.
Give the Subscribe to Content permission only to yourself and familiarize yourself with all the features that you intend to use before giving them to others. Don't change all settings all at once. The defaults have been chosen carefully. Take your time to get to know every setting before you change it.
