Subscribe to content type but change send interval per node?

Is it possible to have users subscribe to a content type but change the send interval for individual nodes?

My users will be subscribed to entire content types (but with the ability to freeze the subscription). Most of the time a digest (probably hourly or daily) will be fine but one or two nodes are urgent and need as soon as possible notifications. Can this be done? Thanks
