salvisPlease try this on a virgin Drupal installation with just Subscriptions.
Asome commentedI tried it in 3 differents installations ...... same thing
When I send test from HTML email module and I look on source I can read
when I receive email from Subscriptions module I can read
Please note text/plain
note: all sites tested are multilanguage

salvisThe mail system in Drupal core sends mail as plain text. Subscriptions has no control over this.
HTMLmail and similar modules replace core's mail system, and they can do whatever they want. Again, Subscriptions has no control over this.
salvisThis does not mean anything, unless one of them is a newly installed Drupal.
Asome commentedok so I rewrite my phrase
I tried it in 3 NEW clean differents installations in two differents servers ...... same thing
I tried to play with several differents settings in htmlmail, mimemail etc .... I tried with and without mimemail, always same problem.
I have installed in these installation also notifications, watcher, notiry node, comments notify, all of these works nice ..... maybe like you wrote the problem is not in subscriptions, I'm not sure, what is sure is that I can't use Subscription module in this way, so if I'm unable to fix this issue I must remove Subscription module and that is sad because for all the rest it works nice
thanks for your support

salvisIt seems to be working just fine on 2000 known sites. Something must be special about your servers.
Playing with anything that has "mail" in the name is not helpful. This only makes matters worse and increases the confusion. Subs works fine in a normal out-of-the-box Drupal installation. Once you've established that as a reference point, you can start playing.
Please disable and uninstall both Subscriptions and Mail Editor (and anything else even remotely related to mail, tokens, rendering, etc.), to remove any customizations. Then reinstall them, go into ME and preview the default template. Does the issue occur there?
Asome commentedsorry but I don't play with anything that has "mail" just for fun ...... please, I have play with htmlmail, mimemail, because them are related with Subscriptions module.
I already tried what you suggest and nothing works, maybe like you wrote all work nice for other 2000 web sites but not for my sites and for other users I have read in this issue list.
Just installed new site for my customer, very simple site drupal, views, forum, nothing of special, this is a new and clean installation, just for fun I have installed Subscriptions, Mail editor and ........ tham ...... same problem
Forgot, this is installed in another server, in another country, but sure is something special to my servers.
So, if I'm able to get a litte free time I will check the code to fix this issue and then I'll let you know, if not, I just switch to another subscription module who can works in my special sites

Asome commentedOk, I was able to get a site working right and then get it with tags in comments.
To repeat the but, with standard installation, add new text format type and then disable standard filtered_html and full_html, then you get tag in comments.
Then, enable standard filtered_html and full_html, clean cache, then tags are gone.
Now need to find the best way to fix that, maybe rename all text format in all tables, or create new text format with filtered_html and full_html name ....
Asome commentedok, fixed, to let you know maybe that can be usefull for other too, my problem is that, I don't know why but in my installations all format filter in filter_format table was set to cache = 0 so I have set full_html and filtered_html filter to cache = 1, clean cache and all works :)

salvisThank you for following up and posting the result of your investigation.
I don't understand how the filters can cause this effect, especially why it's different for comments and node bodies, but I'm glad you were able to get it to work within your configuration requirements.
At this point I don't see any "bug" in Subscriptions that would need to be fixed.
