Steal Our Content

Steal Our Content is a module that displays a "Republish" button as a block on the site. The block is very configurable. When you use the republish button, you get a modal (provided by CTools) that includes the markup of the node being viewed.

It includes a "Steal Our Content Track" submodule which will also enable a tracking pixel in the provided code to do basic analytics on where the republished content is being viewed, and how much.

Installation Instructions

1. Install the module as usual
2. Find the Republish block on the blocks page
3. Configure the block in order to place it in a region, and use visibility settings to show where you'd like the block to display.
4. There are a number of other configurable options on the block, such as the license info to display (this is also themeable if you need to override completely), the intro header to show, and the footer message in the modal window.
5. There is a new view mode for nodes called "Steal Our Content" which is the view mode used to generate the shareable HTML. Combined with Display Suite, this means you can hone the way your content displays on partner sites very precisely.
6. You may enable the statistics / tracking module if you want to track that. Bear in mind that it's very simple and database-driven, so if you wouldn't enable the normal Drupal statistics module, this works much the same way, so it might be best to avoid this module's tracking if you have super-high-traffic content partners. :) There is a permission to allow people to view these reports, and they are available at admin/reports.
