Spark (like all Drupal installs) is almost impossible to install for users who are not English speaking. Language selection comes after they choose profile. Also, to select another language, manual steps have to be performed and the instructions to perform are also in English. (Catastrophic Issue)
Study Details:
3 participant user testing focusing on user experience of installing Spark on Aug 23-24, 2012.

webchickYeah, there's not a lot we can do about this in D7 unfortunately, I don't think. :(
The good news is that this is now fixed in D8. YAY! :D

webchickFixed, via #1780598: While installing Spark, "choose a profile" page should have Spark as the default. . Removing the other core profiles makes the language selection screen first, thus bypassing the profile choice.
