I am testing the spam filter but when I click on the report spam link and report a post as spam should it email the administrator? Or just go to some log or report somewhere?

goto administer -> status logs -> spam logs

yousite.com/admin/help/spam may be worth a visit.

you get an email if the filter used detects spam as per administer -> spam -> actions tab
