this version seems pretty close. I notice weird behavior in the administer-content ui. Screenshot attached. Disabling the module removes the problem from view.

I'm getting the same 's' in the update options on the admin/content/node -page whenever I activate the Spam module. I don't know what it does though.

looks like a mistake in hook_operations. maybe returning a string instead of an array
