When there are false positives for spam, it would help in tracking down the bad pattern if there was a checkbox beside each filter, that turned it on or off.
That way, I could do the binary search thing of turning on half the filters, turning on only half of those, etc.

jeremy commentedA forthcoming rewrite of the spam module will include much more control over the individual filters, and mechanisms for testing filters that will meet this request. Unfortunately there is no ETA for when I will find the time to implement what I have in mind.

nancydruCan't you just go to the edit link on the filter and set "Match effect" to disabled?
