Documentation on exposed filters

I donnot find a documentation on how to use the views exposed filters and its operators.

Also I donnot get the 'Contains range', 'Does not contain range', 'Starts or ends at range' operators set up properly. They simply donnot work on my test installation.

I looked into the code of /src/Plugin/views/filter/Date.php

I am missing a switch case in protected function containsConditions there for

daterange_contains_range
daterange_not_contains_range

Maybe I just donnot use and understand them properly due to a lack of documentation.
